Session terms
Clear terms, kept simple
How booking, payment, rescheduling and my guarantee work, in plain language. Your signed agreement is what governs your session. This page is here so nothing in it comes as a surprise.
Booking + payment
Before your session
Your retainer
A 50% retainer is required to secure your session date. Your date is not held until it is paid.
Your balance
The remaining balance is due on or before your session date.
Rescheduling
Life happens. If someone wakes up sick on session day, let me know as early as possible and we will find a date that works.
Cancelling
Your retainer is fully refundable when you cancel more than 48 hours before your session or event. Inside 48 hours, Satin & Silk Studio keeps the 50% retainer, because that time was held for you and cannot be filled on short notice.
Weather
We watch the forecast together and make a plan. Soft, overcast days photograph beautifully. If the weather is a real problem, we reschedule.
Travel
Travel is not included in your collection. It is quoted before you book and billed separately.
Your photos
Sneak peeks arrive within 24 to 48 hours, depending on your collection. Your full gallery follows within 7 business days, with print-resolution images and a personal print release.

The guarantee
Love it, or I reshoot it
If you do not love your gallery, I reshoot your session once, free.

Review window
Your gallery is delivered view-only. You have 72 hours from delivery to ask for a reshoot, in writing.

Acceptance
Downloading, sharing, posting or printing any image, ordering any product after your gallery is delivered, or letting the 72 hours pass counts as accepting the gallery and ends the guarantee.

A stated reason
Your request says what you are unhappy with, so the reshoot can fix it.

What is included
One session of the same length, the same number of images, and any book or print in your collection remade from the reshoot.

What is not included
Travel is at your cost.

Scheduling
The reshoot is booked within 30 days of your request, on a weekday, subject to availability. A missed reshoot appointment ends the guarantee.

No refunds
The guarantee is a reshoot, never a refund, in full or in part.

Conditions
The guarantee applies when you attended your planning call, arrived on time and followed your prep guide.

Not transferable
The guarantee cannot be passed to someone else and has no cash value.
